Hunky Punk Wallpaper Sample Pack

I'm really excited to present to you good people my first wallpaper!
Originating as a linocut, the first drops were hand printed onto lining paper and shown at various exhibitions during 2022. Now printed in three colourways on beautiful parchment-like textured paper, it features Somerset Hunky Punks (more of which below) frolicking in that most West Country of motifs, the apple tree.

Hunky Punks:
A strange and mysterious beast native to Somerset and wider Wessex, a Hunky Punk is a colloquial name for the stone carved creatures found around these parts.

Usually found in their natural habitat clinging to the top of stone buildings, these beasts are often seen carved on the buttresses of Late Gothic churches and are a bit like gargoyles, or more accurately, grotesques.

It's thought that they represent the balance of good and evil to remind worshippers that they tread the line between piety and temptation.

The wallpaper:
Hunky Punks is printed on FSC approved uncoated non woven paper, which makes it higher strength with better tear resistance, particularly when wet. Non woven coverings are easier to install and remove from the wall – paste the wall not the paper. They have a thicker feel than paper and appear more textile-like in appearance. They are also spongeable for cleaning, peelable and have excellent light fastness.
